1. Bike train the trainers (bike skills in schools) training
Rowan reported that NPDC is paying for him to attend a Bike NZ train the trainers workshop June 18th and 19th.
2. Nathaniel - report on visit to Hastings (who received the other model communities grant)
Dahon 7 speed folding bike, $560 with Regional Council discount voucher. See below.

I. Update on Model Communities grant

Hi Everyone,
It has been great to get a few clear days in a row for cycle commuting, Carlo and I have sure enjoyed riding into town recently.
It is time to meet this Thursday 5th August at the Firemans Arms in Petone from 7 pm, there is a bit to discuss.
Items for the agenda include:
CAN-Do (it is going to be held in the Hutt at Petone Central school with the kind support of Hutt City Council (Thanks Jan!)
Ngauranga Triangle Study - this does not seem to have been released yet, but perhaps by Thursday.
